In The Press: Father-of-The-Bride-worthy Outdoor Oasis in 365 Collective
Stephanie Rapp Interiors is honored to be featured in 365 Collective's article, "A Father-of-the-Bride-Worthy Outdoor Oasis." The feature highlights a thoughtfully designed outdoor living environment created for a Westport family seeking an elegant and inviting setting for both everyday enjoyment and entertainment.
Following a comprehensive renovation of the home's interiors, Stephanie was invited to extend the design outdoors. Building upon an existing hardscape and a beautifully landscaped property, she developed a concept that would allow the homeowners to fully enjoy the park-like setting throughout the day while creating a sophisticated atmosphere for evening gatherings. Soft gray tones, textured fabrics, and carefully selected furnishings were chosen to echo the home's interior palette and create a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor living.
Each outdoor space was intentionally designed to serve a unique purpose, from alfresco dining and poolside lounging to intimate gathering areas beneath the gazebo. Careful consideration was given to the movement of the sun throughout the day, ensuring that furniture placement, shade, and comfort were thoughtfully incorporated into the design. The result is a collection of outdoor spaces that feel both functional and refined while celebrating the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape.
One of the most meaningful moments came after the project was complete, when the homeowners hosted their daughter's wedding on the property. The outdoor setting provided the perfect backdrop for an intimate garden-style celebration, allowing family and friends to gather in a space designed for connection, comfort, and lasting memories. The project reflects Stephanie Rapp Interiors' belief that great design is not only beautiful, but also enriches the experiences shared within it.
